Name: Rachel Chapman
Position: Director of Pet Services - Surrey
I first started working with animals when I rescued my first cat, Zack, at the age of 13.  Zack was found on a rubbish dump. I then adopted him. He went on to live for 17 happy years, which started my love for animals. I later rescued a cockerpoo that was completely deaf.
I have a natural ability with animals. I currently compete with  my German Shepherd, Shadow, training regularly with BAGSD (British Association German Shepherd Dogs) in Reigate and with Clever Paws Dog Training. We have already achieved our Bronze,Silver and Gold Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards. I also qualified for Discover dogs 2014; and competed at Crufts 2015. We now work A class & B Class in Kennel Club Open Obedience Shows.

Volunteering is something I also do as much as I can. Shadow and I volunteer for From Fear to Friends a group that helps children to overcome their fear of dogs. I also give my time as a home checker/dog assor for German Shepherd Rescue Elite.

Last year I complete the first part of my BAGSD Instuructors Exam, completing part 2 this year. I am also studying Canine Health and Holstic Therapy.
